The latest tough guy to come from the Victorinox Swiss Army stable is the much advertised and praised Victorinox INOX watch. The name ‘INOX’ comes from the French term acier inoxydable meaning stainless steel from which the watch is made from, a big heavy chunk of it! In actual fact, Victorinox have proven that this watch can withstand 8-tonnes of pressure kindly provided by a industry standard CAT digger, so this is a seriously solid bit of kit. Be amazed by the video here:
The Victorinox INOX watch comes in a few different colours, as you can see below. They all come with rubber straps to match the dial and the second hand is coloured red. There is a date window between the 4 and 5 o’clock markers too.
Another interesting feature is the additional (and included) rubber “Bumper”. This neat little accessory quickly just snaps on whenever you feel the need for extra protection and protects your watch from small scrapes to big hits.
Naturally, we needed to do our very own Robert Gatward test on the Victorinox INOX watch. One of the many tests that Victorinox have completed on the INOX (there are 130!) involved the watch being dropped from a height, hitting concrete hard at the end of its travel. Of course we had to try this out. Watch our video below to see how the Victorinox INOX watch faired being dropped from 12ft onto solid concrete, the result is incredible…
The Victorinox INOX watch will be available from Robert Gatward Jewellers very soon and they are priced at £329.00. Please call 01235 849239 for all enquires about the Victorinox INOX watch.
