For many of you, your wedding will be one of the most important milestones in your life. Most of us spend thousands making our perfect day… well… perfect! At such an emotional and financial cost, it is important your experience from start to finish is nothing short of sensational.
It is as important to us as it is for you to choose the right ring. With a multitude of metals, styles, and fits it can be difficult to know where to start. But don’t worry, this is where we step in! We have a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure the ring you choose is as comfortable, wearable, and durable for your desired needs.
Gents
Your wedding ring is usually the first piece of jewellery you will buy. It isn’t uncommon for your ring to feel unusual at first – this is purely because most men have never been accustomed to the feeling of having a ring on their finger. To make this transition as smooth as possible we have a gorgeous selection of bevelled edge rings for ultimate comfort.
Most gents tend to opt for a 5-6mm width, this is personal preference dependant on your tastes. Do you want a ring that exudes understated elegance or a ring that packs a statement? Purely for comfort, we recommend court shaped rings. By design this ring will glide on and off smoother and be an all-round more cushioned and comfortable fit.
Ladies
You can also opt for a plain band, a shaped ring that sits flush with your engagement ring, or you can sparkle up with a diamond set band. With so many variations it is important your wedding ring is going to be a ring that you will love forever. Continued fluctuations with fashion styles and trends need to be noted. A ring can be hot one minute then not the next! When choosing your wedding ring, buy a ring YOU want, buy a ring that you can see yourself loving and wearing for life.
To make the above a reality, we can custom make the ring of your dreams. Whether you require a specific customisation or a bespoke handwritten engraving, we will work with you to curate your desired ring. We guarantee you will always be the first person to wear your ring, as all of our rings are bespoke to the customer buying them!
FAQS
How long before the wedding should we buy our wedding rings?
The sooner the better. The price of metals usually only goes one way… and that is up! Depending on what you want it could take up to 6 weeks to make. We want you to be delighted with your ring, so the sooner your ring is ordered the sooner we can make any alterations. All of our rings are handmade here in the UK, chances are we can make something as quickly as possible for a shotgun wedding. In saying that an ideal time frame would be 3 months prior to your special day.
What metal do you recommend for wedding rings?
The four key metals used for bridal jewellery are yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum. All of the gold metals contain a base of 18 carat yellow gold. To alter the colour and to improve the durability of gold other alloys are added. For example, rose gold is a compound of 75% gold and a combination of copper and silver which are blended together to create the beautiful warm blush tones of rose gold. Whereas white gold is a combination of 75% gold mixed with 25% platinum or palladium to create a serene silver finish. If you love white gold we would recommend platinum as an alternative. Almost identical in appearance platinum is a purer metal with 95% purity, it is rarer, and it contains less alloy. However, the aesthetic and suitability of your ring is a very personal choice and it is completely up to you!
How much should we spend on our wedding rings?
This is a completely personal choice and dependant on your requirements!
We would recommend deciding upon a budget before you start looking for rings, as there are many factors that will affect the price of similar looking rings. For example, the choice of metal used for the band and the carat weight of the diamonds will all alter the price a ring.
