Where did it All Start for the Breitling Watch?
Breitling’s devotion to developing precision instruments like chronographs and timers for competitive sports and the automobile industry soon saw the aviation world snapping at his heels, wanting a piece of the action. From there, Breitling enjoyed great success whilst working with the armed forces designing and producing on board chronographs – earning him worldwide fame. He worked alongside the Royal Air Force supplying on board chronographs for the famous World War II propeller-driven fighter planes. These soon became standard equipment on propeller driven planes and later on jet aircrafts for many airplane manufacturers and airlines worldwide. Léon Breitling also continued to develop his range of pocket and wrist chronographs.
And now…
In the 21st Century, the Breitling watch has expanded out from the aviation industry and now men and women from all walks of life and all industries can experience the true beauty and innovative wonder of a Breitling watch, which is still manufactured using the original and first ever independent chronograph pushpiece.
